]]>Battle of Guilford Courthouse Observance
If you love history, head to the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park on March 17 to experience the 237th Anniversary of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. Reenactors will show the historic battle, and you can hear the Guilford Courthouse Fife and Drum Corps as they perform Revolutionary War music. The event has activities from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on March 17 and 18.
STOMP at the Carolina Theater
Greensboro's Carolina Theater will host STOMP on March 25. This electrifying percussion performance uses everything except drums to make a memorable show. See performers stomp out their beats with trash cans, barrels, brooms and more. If you've seen the performance before, it's worth a second visit because it has been revised and revamped.
Food Truck Festivals
Throughout the spring you will find a number of Greensboro food truck festivals to enjoy. The first is from 3-9 on April 29. Head to downtown Greensboro near the intersections of Greene, Market and Elm streets to enjoy your favorite food trucks. There will also be activities and bounce houses for the kids, live music, craft beer and plenty of craft vendors. While you will need money for the food and activities, the event itself is free.
See Some Wicked Plants
Head over to the Greensboro Science Center through May 6 to see a display of Wicked Plants, the poisonous, carnivorous and otherwise nasty plants that nature offers. See how these plants have left their mark on history and learn how to spot and avoid them when you are out in nature. See the rest of the museum while you are there!
Whether you're touring a museum or tasting the food of the city's food trucks, you will find plenty to enjoy around Greensboro in the spring! If you are also looking for a new apartment, be sure to schedule a tour a The Village Lofts!
